Active in Nature

Sơn Trà Peninsula brings forest, mountain and coastline within easy reach of the city. Trekking and nature exploration offer encounters with rich biodiversity, including the rare red-shanked douc langur, while Da Nang’s beaches support swimming, stand-up paddleboarding and other water activities. This varied landscape makes outdoor movement a natural part of the city’s rhythm.

Sacred Landscapes

Da Nang’s natural landmarks are closely connected to spiritual life. Linh Ứng Pagoda and the Lady Buddha overlook the sea from Sơn Trà Mountain, while the Marble Mountains contain historic pagodas, sacred caves and places of worship within their limestone formations. These peaceful settings create space for contemplation while revealing the connection between nature and spirituality.

Integrated Wellness Resorts

Da Nang’s beachfront resorts bring spa therapies, movement, mindful practices, nourishing food and rest together within the stay. Ocean views, sea air and the sound of the waves provide a naturally restorative setting, while dedicated wellness resorts offer more structured programs. Wellbeing becomes part of the overall experience rather than remaining an isolated spa treatment.

Practical Travel Tips

Getting there: Da Nang International Airport (DAD) is approximately 3 kilometres or a 10–15-minute drive from the city centre. Direct flights connect Da Nang with major cities across Vietnam and several international destinations in Asia. Hoi An lies about 30km south, approximately 45 minutes by road, while Hue is around 100km north, taking 2–2.5 hours by road or approximately three hours by scenic train.

Getting around: Taxis and Grab are readily available, and most journeys between the city centre, riverfront and beach areas are relatively short. Walking works well within individual neighbourhoods, while a car or motorbike is more practical for reaching Sơn Trà Peninsula, the Marble Mountains and beachfront resorts farther south.

Best time to visit: March to May generally offers the most comfortable conditions for beaches and outdoor activities, although weather patterns are becoming less predictable. September to December is usually the wettest period, with a greater possibility of storms, rough seas and disrupted outdoor activities.
